I established Sussex Inventory Services to address a common issue within the lettings sector — the costly problems that can arise from poorly prepared, unclear, or insufficiently detailed inventory reports. Having worked extensively within property management, I have seen first-hand how vital accurate and impartial reporting is in protecting all parties involved.
I bring 18 years’ experience in residential property management, including over 14 years carrying out inventories, check-ins, check-outs and mid-term inspections. My background includes managing deposit negotiations and dealing directly with disputes through all major government-approved deposit protection schemes, including the TDS and DPS. This experience has given me a thorough understanding of why well-prepared, detailed reports are essential and how they are relied upon throughout a tenancy and at its conclusion.
Unlike many inventory clerks, I have extensive direct experience working within property management itself. I began my career at a small independent letting agent before progressing into senior management roles within a large corporate company, where I managed teams responsible for over 4,000 properties. This provides me with valuable insight into the pressures faced by letting agents, landlords and tenants, as well as the practical realities of compliance, legislation and dispute resolution.
As a result, my reports are produced with one clear objective: to be comprehensive and professionally prepared, providing clarity and confidence for landlords, letting agents and tenants alike.
I am fully ARLA Propertymark accredited, including ARLA Inventory Accreditation, and operate in line with the highest professional standards and codes of practice.
